Chloe Emery, DVM : Veterinarian

Dr. Emery is originally from Jackson, MS and attended Louisiana State University for her undergraduate degree and veterinary school. She graduated in 2018 and has worked at Northeast Animal Hospital since graduation. She also works part-time at the Animal Emergency and Referral Center. Dr. Emery has an English Bulldog named Vito and is married to her husband Gray. During her free time, she enjoys cooking, tennis, pickleball, fishing and riding horses at her grandparents’ farm in Vaughan, MS.

Kirby Sills, DVM : Veterinarian

Dr. Kirby Sills is an associate veterinarian with NEAH for six years and head veterinarian at Cypress Point Resort in Brandon, MS. He holds a degree in Veterinary Medicine from Mississippi State University in 1979 and Louisiana State University in 1984. His deep passion for animals of all walks has taken him into an adventure of general practice, emergency medicine, zoological and exotics. Dr. Sills used his skills to teach others with the drive in emergency medicine at MSU for sixteen years and for fourteen years at the Veterinary Technological program at Hinds Community College in Raymond. Dr. Sills resides in Gluckstadt, MS with his wife Suzanne. In his spare time, he enjoys tinkering with a toyota truck project, traveling to many zoos throughout the year for continuing education.

Edward Kennedy, DVM : Veterinarian

Dr. Edward Kennedy grew up in Inverness, MS. He graduated from Auburn University Scool of Veterinary Medicine in 1973. He served his country through the United States Airforce Veterinary Corps for two years. He then came to Jackson, MS where he established Northeast Animal Hospital in 1978. Dr. Kennedy has been Mississippi Veterinarian of the Year on two special occasions. Dr. Kennedy loves to interact with his clients and care for animals. His love for and dedication to his profession has made him a successful veterinarian in the Jackson area over the last forty five years.

Amber Donald : Veterinary Technician

My name is Amber Donald. I have been in the vet world for 15 years. I have been a tech for 13 of those years. I have experience in general practice as well as emergency medicine. I have always had a passion for animals. My husband Jason and I have been together for 12 years. We have a sweet six year old boy named Peyton. We currently live in Lena, MS. I love the country lifestyle. I enjoy spending time with family, friends, riding four wheelers, and laughing with friends.

Evan Tew: Veterinary Technician

Evan Tew is a Certified Veterinary Technician at Northeast Animal Hospital, bringing over 14 years of dedicated experience to the team. A 2011 graduate of the Veterinary Technology program at Hinds Community College. Evan achieved his National Board Certification the same year. He further advanced his education by earning a Bachelor of Science degree from Tulane University in 2018. When not providing exceptional care to animals, Evan enjoys golfing, attending concerts, and spending quality time with his dog, Tri.

Miranda O’Quinn: Receptionist

I was born and raised in Jackson,MS. I graduated from Itawamba Community College in 2021 with an Associates Degree in Biological Sciences. I live in Pearl,MS with my husband and my animals. I have a Golden Retriever Radar, Mixed Breed River, and Cat Roux. When I’m not spending time with them I’m either baking, reading, or making art. I find it highly rewarding that my job helps owners to provide care for their animals whether it’s an annual visit or something is more serious. I am thankful and excited to be apart of the Northeast Animal Hospital team and what we do to make every animal matter.

Emily Herrington: Receptionist

My name is Emily Herrington. I reside in Brandon, MS. I graduated from Hinds Community College in 2016 with an Associate of Applied Science and Technical Degree in Dental Assisting. I obtained a certification as a professional medical coder apprentice from the American Association of Professional Coders in 2024. My previous experiences and passion for animals landed me the best job ever as a receptionist with Northeast Animal Hospital in July 2024. I have a sweet boyfriend named James and a schnauzer yorkie mix named Bater. On the weekends I enjoy being in the sun on a boat floating the reservoir and hanging with friends and family. Being the voice of the front office and an advocate for the health of each pet is of most importance to me. Hope to see your fur babies with us soon 🙂

Zach Moore: Kennel Technician

Zach Moore has been with the Northeast Animal Hospital team for almost ten years as a kennel technician. He resides in Canton, MS with his two children Zoey and Roman. He has a schnauzer poodle mix named Scrappy. Zach is an all around guy who loves to make clients and his coworkers laugh.

Alyssa Janotta: Kennel Technician

My name is Alyssa Janotta. I am from Clinton, MS. I am married to my highschool sweetheart Dylan. We have three fur babies of our own. I have a deep passion for animals. This passion has been ingrained in me my entire life. I enjoy country music and love fishing with my husband. Mexican food is my favorite. I cherish spending time with my family and friends.

David Lowe: Groomer

David Lowe has been a part of NEAH since 2002 as a kennel assistant manager and a groomer David resides in Jackson, MS with his two sons and a french bulldog named Gumbo. As a groomer, the main goal is to make your pet feel comfortable when in our care. David’s contagious smile and love for animals pours into his work to make each pet’s experience and hair aesthetically pleasing.
